In his Sensations of the Old Days, Roman Kaleta describes the Guide as follows:
"On Shrove Tuesday, 1926, the Bibliographical Guide appeared for sale [...] However graphically this print was deceptively similar to the periodical of the same title published by the Ossolineum and pretended to be a continuation of it with the numbering of new books (4310-4600) and pagination (pp. 489-508), a glance at the full metric of notebook 13 announced a humorous mystification."
Jaroslaw Dolinski (1881 - 1971) - engineer, doctor of technical sciences. Long-time employee of the City Gasworks in Krakow (deputy director 1935-1939). Senior and honorary member of the Polish Association of Sanitary Engineers and Technicians. Publicist and editor of the magazines "Czasopismo Krakowskiego Towarzystwa Technicznego" and "Gaz, Woda i Technika Sanitarna". Head of the Central Laboratory of the gas industry. Lecturer at the Jagiellonian University (chemical technology) and AGH (coking issues).
