Born in 1932 in Janikowo.
From 1954 to 1959 he studied painting and printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, graduating from the Faculty of Graphic Arts in the Lithography Studio of Prof. K. Srzednicki and in the Poster Studio of Prof. M. Makarewicz. In 1987, he was awarded the title of professor at the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He currently heads the Graphic Design, Book and Typography Studio at his alma mater.
He works in printmaking, drawing and painting. He constantly cooperates with galleries in Germany and the United States. The artist's works are in the collections of the National Museum in Warsaw and Cracow, the Pomeranian Museum in Gdansk, the Museum of the Land of Bydgoszcz, the Pratt Institute in New York, the City Museum in Tokyo.
