Stefan Żeromski coat of arms Jelita (1864 - 1925) - Polish prose writer, publicist, playwright; first president of the Polish PEN Club. Four times nominated for the Nobel Prize in literature (1921, 1922, 1923, 1924). One of the most outstanding Polish writers in history.
